Automation and Electronics (NZ) Ltd have been in the industrial controls business since 1986.

We provide automation solutions to end users and OEMs throughout the world and are a market leader in the supply of automation systems to the solid wood processing industry in New Zealand and Australia. 

After initial product training the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the entire duration of projects including:

  • Control System design
  • PLC and SCADA software development
  • Control panel design
  • Supervision of installation work
  • Start-up and commissioning
  • Customer Support of existing Installations


Extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Software products must be able to be demonstrated. Indepth knowledge of all or some of the following will also be desirable:

  • Intellution Software
  • Siemens S7


Previous experience in the timber industry is preferable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to work in a flexible team environment and will be an effective communicator with customers and peers. This person will be required to spend periods of time on customer sites for start-up, commissioning and system support, both in NZ and overseas.

Applicants for this position should have a New Zealand passport and be willing and able to travel for work overseas.
