We provide products designed to perform & specialize in design, manufacture, installation and servicing of Power Generators and looking for someone who has previous experience in a workshop manager role
About the role
Day to day operations of the workshop and staff management.
Provide strong direction and leadership to the entire team.
Recognize that people are the key to the business success, and therefore place a high priority on the application of sound human resource management principles.
Understand the risks associated with the business and manage those risks appropriately.
Drive an absolute quality focus within the business.
Ensure the company maintains a close working relationship with key suppliers
Develop and implement appropriate information technology systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Engineering Department
Carries out Managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organisations policy's
Planning, assigning and directing employees
Addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ensure Health & Safety is implemented
What you'll need to succeed in this role
Ideally you will have a sound background of machining and fitting in a heavy machiniery/industrial environment,
Communication skills for this role is imperative and you must be able to work well with people on the workshop floor and alongside clients from within the industrial sites.
You must possess drive and passsion for the engineering industry and be looking for a challenging and rewarding role.
It is imperative that you follow up on tasks that have been allocated to your team to ensure that K.P.I's are met and job is delivered in a timely manner.
You must have the ability to Prioritise/Organise you and your team's days/weeks in a methodical fashion and ultimately remain calm under pressure.
