Health and Safety Officer | Civil Construction | Auckland

We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to establish and maintain high-quality safety compliance, safety-culture, continued innovation and development of systems to keep the team safe!
About the role
The role will be varied and interesting, taking the lead on health & safety company-wide. You will review current systems, develop & implement systems and conduct H&S training & inductions.
This is not a boring office job, you will bring with you knowledge of Civil Construction health & safety and use this along with your excellent communication skills to take the message of site safety to your teams on site!
Working largely in the land development space you will work closely with project managers, engineers & construction crews to build & maintain a strong safety culture.
The ideal candidate
A background in Civil Construction is a must, you will be required to suit up in your PPE to visit projects, provide training & ensure compliance on site. Ideally, you have at least 2 years practical experience working for a Civil Contractor.
You will be great at building relationships, managing your time effectively & have strong computer skills. You have great attention to detail & can easily manage juggling multiple tasks in a day.
With sites Auckland wide you will be required to hold a Full NZ drivers license.
You also hold a tertiary qualification in H & S, or similar and have at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
