We are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a recognised civil contractor in Wellington, undertaking complex large-scale civil projects.
Working with an experienced team and under a supportive General Manager, you’ll be exposed to leading systems and processes in a positive culture.
You will be responsible for:
- Review and preparation for approval of contract agreements with Sub-Contractors;
- Preparation and review for approval by relevant signatory of major procurement agreements with Suppliers;
- Preparation of monthly and final progress claims and agreement with Owner’s Representative;
- Management of the project-wide forecasts and cost to complete;
- Assist with the preparation of all project budgets for approval by the Project Manager;
- Quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications primarily for the pricing of variations;
- Identification, notification and pricing of variations to the head contract;
- Identification and notification of extension of time claims;
- Participation in negotiations with Owner’s Representatives, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors;
- Assist with the preparation of monthly Project Financial Reports as required, including cost forecasts;
- Identification and notification to the Client’s Representatives of other issues that might give rise to a claim under the contract;
- Assist with the preparation of Monthly Commercial Reports
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognised Quantity Surveying qualification
- Proven experience on large-scale civil construction projects
- Good communication and relationship building skills
