A bit about us:

Due to our growth and our current staff being short on time, we are looking for a special someone to join the team and help us to continue on our growth journey.

Our accounting team is currently Ben (part-time Accountant, part-time Athlete), and Angela (Managing Director and part-time Accounts Dabbler).  We are wanting to take the Finance Manager role off Angela, so she can go and get other stuff done for Consult!

The key aspects of the role are:

We expect this to be a 20-25 hour per week role.  Initially - this will be a 3-month contract so we can assess the long-term time needs in the role.  Currently, there are two main aspects of the role:

- to manage and review the general accounting processes within Consult
- to do some process and systems improvement - there are a lot of reports and analysis we would love to do, but we don't have the time/capability right now.

Tasks include:

• Monthly management reporting (Spotlight Report)
• Development of reports to help the business operate effectively.
• Development of the payroll/timesheeting system and reporting.
• Review of Payables and Receivables
• Cashflow management.
• Review of Accountant's work.
• Review Month end accounts (including monthly depreciation)
• Authorise expense claims.
• Staff payroll.

So who are you and what is your profile?

You are a good all round accountant with experience in some great companies.  You're able to roll up your sleeves and get in amongst it all, and you really enjoy adding value. You'll be strong at reporting creating new reports.

You've got good commercial acumen and probably will understand what it is like to work in a service environment.  You've got strong interpersonal skills, are able to work alongside the directors of the business and are a team player.

We aren't fussed about qualifications, we are more impressed by who you are and what you can contribute to the organisation.
