Pull the project purse-strings to generate profitable outcomes for both your client and your contract.
Projects in this role will typically include commercial developments and civic projects in the $10m - $40m range, for a dynamic and successful design and build contractor. Many projects are executed on a negotiated basis with loyal clientele, in both the public and private sector. The required attributes:
- Trained, tertiary qualified QS
- Commercial project experience, ideally in the $2m - $20m range or higher
- Communication ability to interact with a wide range of project stakeholders and other parties – this is not a role sat in a corner
- A well-rounded spectrum of experience that spans involvement in pre-contract tendering/estimating (perhaps also commercial feasibility), measures/take-offs, negotiation, contracts management, variations and payment claims and on to final accounting. Not that you may execute all of these duties, but we need you to be competent in all these aspects.
