About the business

Mid size South Auckland based Civil Contractor. We are involved in a number of major projects Auckland. we are looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join us.

About the role

As a Project Manager for G Mundy no two days will be the same. As Project Manager you will work across a broad range of disciplines including: Earthworks, Drainage, Subdivisions, and Civil Works. You will be responsible for managing sub-contractors and self-performing crews as well as ensuring that the project is running smoothly overall. 

Key Responsibilities 

* Being a Face for our projects to our clients.

* Ownership of projects from start to finish

* Ensuring team is working to the latest plans

*  Programming & scheduling of projects & products

* Attendance at site meetings

* H&S-ensuring relevant compliance and best practices are undertaken on sites

* Reviewing and preparation of month end claims

* working with Foremen to ensure relevant materials are delivered to site in a timely fashion

* Tender Preparation for upcoming works

you must have the right to live and work in NZ for this role

Skills and experience

  • You will be able to show your experience within the NZ civil construction environment
  • ideally You will have experience in a Civil Project Management role previously-
  • Ideally hold a NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction. 
  • You will hold a strong understanding of Health and Safety, and have strong communication skills in order to lead subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Experience in writing and compiling reports, QA etc
  • Experience in Producing critical path programs
