- Contract role offering long term contract
- Hourly rate $70-$90 Per Hour
A leading NZ main contractor is currently recruiting for an Experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to work on one of the largest commercial construction projects in recent times.
With two years left on this project, there is a requirement for a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor due to an internal promotion. The QS will join a team of 20 other Quantity Surveyors on this dominant construction project.
The candidate will be expected to have at least 5 years’ experience in HVAC, Electrical and Fire services. Those coming from a services sub-contractor are urged to apply however the MQS will be responsible for packages up to $20m therefore only candidates capable of managing this level of package should apply.
Responsibilities
- Take commercial responsibility for the successful and profitable execution of contracts.
- To assist the Project Manager in ensuring reliable and contractual performance in the day-to-day implementation of contracts.
- To provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations on a number of projects in accordance with Company procedures.
- To ensure timely submission and agreement of applications, cost plans, variation details, claims and other documentation.
- To liaise with clients on the production and agreement of account details and securing final payment.
- To maintain subcontractor control ensuring close administration of accounts and reporting to Senior Management.
