Supervisor

We are seeking Supervisors to join the Transmission Gully Project team. Reporting to the Superintendent, the key focus for these roles are to achieve optimum production, cost and quality outcomes through the management of direct labour and sub-contractors in a healthy and safe work environment. Disciplines include bulk earthworks, pavements and structures.

Responsibilities include (although not limited to) 

• Supervise, schedule, co-ordinate and manage day to day tasks to meet all objectives relevant to the scope of work/s.
• Hold Junior Supervisors and Sub contractors accountable for completing all relevant paperwork for their scope of work/s including employee and subcontractor timesheets.
• Support the procurement process, understand the order timelines and market conditions and monitor plant and equipment to ensure it is on site when required and off hired when not.
• Understand the project specifications and requirements and ensure that works delivered conform to these requirements.

The ideal applicant will have;

• A commitment to safety and health above all else.
• Significant experience with large scale earthworks, pavements and/or bridge structures.
• Good public speaking skills.
• Proven management experience of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing design documentation, in understanding drawings, in providing constructability review and implementing final design plans.
• Technical competency or detailed level of understanding in area that role is supervising.
