We are particularly proud to be the delivery partner for Southern Response, with our team playing a key role in one of the largest construction projects in New Zealand's history. We are now looking to strengthen this team in Christchurch with the addition of an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a fixed term contract for a period of nine months.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Verifying the Scope of Works with the Project Managers.
- Obtaining rates from various suppliers for materials/services
- Estimating of DRA's
- Preparation of correspondence
- Reconciling contractor invoices to certified payment claim.
- Monitor and approve expenditure.
- Prepare and submit progress / milestone claims in time to meet weekly payment schedules.
- Provide regular, accurate financial reports as requested by the Commercial Manager.
- Assist the Project Manager by preparing the financial summary and scope changes and variations within agreed parameters.
What will allow you to excel in this role?
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying (including Cost Control)
- 3-7 years relevant industry experience
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Good decision making and problem solving capability
- Proven planning skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment
- The ability to maintain composure and manage well under pressure
