Our client is an established consultancy working nationally on an interesting mix of commercial and development projects from inception to completion.
Due to an internal promotion and an increase in workload they are now looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who would like to gain end to end project exposure ranging from subdivision to complete development projects including residential apartment and commercial mixed use up to $30 million.
You will be working within a small but well-formed team that are supportive, sociable and part of a wider office that has excellent career prospects for someone who is wanting to progress. Your mentor is a seasoned professional, well respected in the industry whom you can draw upon and learn from their knowledge.
Your role will include;
- Full end to end project management
- Client Management – initial project set up and continuing project management
- Initial feasibility assessment and reporting
- Contractor assessment and engagement
- Payment and variation claims
- Progress and financial reporting
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 3 years Quantity Surveying experience
- Understanding of NZ codes and contracts
- Experience managing project financials and budgets
- Excellent attention to detail
- A flexible can do attitude
- Wiliness to gain experience across different types of projects and the different stages of the construction process
- Ideally have some professional consultancy experience
