Our client is a New Zealand leading construction contractor with a well-established name and reputation across NZ. Due to increased growth and a busy project portfolio they are in need of a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their Interiors Division to work on a range of interior fit out projects. The majority of these will be commercial, retail and high end residential fit outs and refurbs, with a number of schools, restaurants, and even museum exhibitions on their project lists!
Our client wants someone who is self-motivated and driven to succeed with a positive attitude – in addition to a proven track record of winning tenders. The salary is $80-120k depending on experience. Local experience is not essential but is preferred, and you will need estimating and QS experience on interiors and fit out projects.

We are looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience as an estimator or quantity surveyor
- Estimating experience on commercial construction projects with a mid-level or main contractor
- Proven ability to effectively price & win new work
- Outstanding relationship building and networking skills
- Experience working on large commercial construction projects
- Strong leadership skills and communication skills
- Commercial nous and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels of an organization
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
