This well-known main contractor is hiring a Structures Supervisor to oversee site works on a commercial projects in Auckland. Experience working on Structures in a supervisory position is essential to be considered for this opportunity, The position is paying $90-110k, depending on experience.

They are looking for someone who is dependable and autonomous from a trades background with supervisory experience of site and workforce labour in the structures space i.e steel or concrete. The key accountabilities will be to monitor daily work activities and report progress; ensure systems and processes are adhered to; ensure all works are installed and executed in accordance with contract documents; enforce Health and Safety on-site; maintain an accurately detailed daily site diary and be a strong motivator.

Skills required:

• 5+ years' experience in a structures supervisory role, leading and motivating site teams and trades
• Able to understand and read construction plans and drawings
• Thorough experience working on the structures space of commercial projects in New Zealand
• Good knowledge of construction best practice
• Able to assess information, evaluate solutions and devise appropriate course of action 
• Exceptionally strong communication skills are required to get the job done
• Computer literate in basic IT skills
• Good observational skills especially for Health, Safety and Quality issues
• Able to provide detailed attention to workmanship
