We are currently seeking a Development Programme Lead to join our Major Developments team based in Newmarket. About the role:

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the relationship between Watercare and some of the major developers across Auckland and manage Watercare's engagement on large-scale developments. This is a key facilitation role between Watercare and external parties involved in residential and commercial land development. These developments are high profile and have significant infrastructure consequences for Watercare and greater Auckland.

The main objective is to manage Watercare's engagement on large-scale development activities. This includes coordinating inputs from various departments within Watercare throughout all stages of the development from development planning through to implementation. The role also entails coordinating with Auckland Council and CCOs on engagement on key developments and with major developers.

The successful candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will be customer focused and dedicated to delivering results in a timely and concise manner. Requirements include:

• Relevant professional qualification, preferably at degree level
• +5 years' experience in a relevant or related field
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to communicate engineering information to customers
• Ability to monitor and follow up on internal activities and pull together information in a coherent way to present outcomes to customers
• Project management experience, experience in relationship management and managing internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for commercial and residential development and knowledge of the development community in Auckland is desirable
• Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure is desirable.
