The Company
The Joint Venture between Fulton Hogan and John Holland Rail specialises in the provision of rail infrastructure services for construction and maintenance throughout New Zealand. The Joint Venture’s Rail business delivers project management, asset management, engineering, construction and maintenance services to the public and private railway sectors throughout New Zealand.
The Job
As the Rail Safety Coordinator, it will be your responsibility to provide support, coordination and advice on safety practices, systems and procedures within JV Rail. You will support the Project Leadership Teams to develop and implement safety training within the workplace as well as educate employees, contractors and visitors on safe practices.

The Candidate
You will have a passion for safety and have a strong background within either the rail, heavy construction or a high risk workplace, along with the following skills and attributes:
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Safety Lead Auditor Qualification
- Project Management experience is desirable
- Knowledge of Safety & Rehabilitation Management Systems
- In depth knowledge of NZ work safe legislation
- Competent in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- Skills in data gathering, statistical and trend analysis
- Strong skills in building relationships with stakeholders
