Their Christchurch operation currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Quantity Surveyor with strong Estimating knowledge and skills to join their driven and self-motivated commercial team. 

Reporting to the Regional Manager you will have sound knowledge of quantity surveying within the New Zealand civil arena, teamed with exposure to estimating and cost reconciliation.  With demonstrable exposure to NZS3910 this position will pull on your civil site experience and ability to work and communicate effectively and coherently with your immediate team as well as the site based teams and contractors.    

Responsibilities will include:

• reconciliation of costs
• analysis of project cost allocation and labour costs
• together with the team, monthly forecasting and reporting
• contract administration of sub-contractors
• coding and information extraction
• weekly and monthly reporting

In order to be considered for this position it is essential that you hold the following skills and attributes:

• demonstrable experience working in a similar role within the New Zealand civil construction industry
• strong reporting and analytical skills
• effective communication skills with the ability to work across a variety of parties and levels
• tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying is preferred but not essential provided your show demonstrable experience in this area
• working knowledge of NZS3910 contracts
