About the role
We are currently after an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Work would be varied over Precast and Commercial Quantity Surveying and you would have a minimum of 3 years' experience within the Precast and Commercial sector.
You will report directly to the company directors. You will enjoy an environment of high performance and quality, within a company that is continually growing within the construction sector.
Your skills base has the potential to develop as we have our own in house architectural draughtsman, precast concrete and distribution.
This role will include but is not limited to:
- Review of Tender Documentation;
- Pricing and Estimation of projects;
- Obtain subcontractor quotes, review inclusions, exclusions and conditions;
- Contract Administration;
- Progress claims, variations and payments;
- Managing relationships between subcontractors;
- Liaising with Clients, Architects and other key personnel.

Skills and experience
To be successful in your application you will need:
- A diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying in New Zealand and a minimum of three years' experience in the New Zealand Industry. Experience working on Commercial projects at some level is essential.
- Experience and efficiency in tender preparation and delivery;
- To be competent with measuring and pricing;
- Ability to create long standing relationships with clients and subcontractors;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- Extensive knowledge on cost management software;
- A positive approach to working in a team environment.
- Previous experience with CostX would be an advantage.
