Within our Food & Beverage division, we provide large corporate food and beverage manufacturers with value-added cleaning and sanitisation solutions.  In this role, the Distributor Sales Development Manager will be the face of Ecolab and provide recommendations on advanced programs and will be responsible for driving sales channelled through our distributor partners. You will deal directly with distributors and large Corporate Farms and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Selling new business to drive sales and deliver budget
  • Develop and execute business and marketing plans with assigned distributors
  • Develop a complete knowledge of key end user and distributor accounts
  • Achieve specific key account & distributor account sales targets in both volume and gross sales value
  • Drive new sales demand through distributors to meet sales and profit growth targets
  • Conduct regular business reviews and updates with key accounts and distributor accounts
  • Monthly reviews with distributor partners
  • Work closely with the Managers to introduce new products and enhance distributor sales and service capabilities through presentations, training, demonstrations and using other Ecolab resources
  • Run training sessions for our Sales Representatives on selling Ecolab products through effective sales techniques

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong experience selling in a B2B market via distribution models.
  • Must have farming industry experience
  • A proven track record of acquiring and then building business and strategic partnerships with end users via distributor models.
  • A proven ability to sell across a number of varied key influencers and decision makers
  • Superior analytical and planning abilities ensuring attention to detail.
  • Successful background in sales leadership role or demonstrated ability in sales coaching and development.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Experience working within the Food and Beverage B2B sales environment
  • Leadership skills to drive consensus through cross functional teams
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and networking skills
  • A collaborative approach
