My client is an innovative and dynamic importing and wholesaling company, proudly representing a number of well established brands including audio, furniture and small appliances. They're also involved with sourcing and introducing some really exciting developing brands into the New Zealand market.

About the role:
  • Work closely with the Directors to ensure their growth strategy is delivered upon at both key account and regional store level
  • Provide a national sales presence via creation of a territory plan
  • Source new business opportunities and sell in new products to existing customers
  • Help create process around sales cycles, product promotion and marketing
  • Provide product training, merchandising and in-store support to encourage sell-through
  • Significantly grow the New Zealand business to the extent where you can bring on your own national team of Territory Managers
About you:
  • You're a top sales performer from within the consumer electronics/FMCG industry - you're well known in your sector and respected by your clients
  • You're equally passionate about driving sales through both existing relationships as well as winning new customers
  • You're ambitious - willing to 'roll up your sleeves' and work hard in order to significantly grow sales and then recruit your own sales team in future
  • You're the type of person who understands that this type of business development role requires a 'nothing is beneath me' attitude - from installing displays in-store through to trade shows and customer training, you know what it takes to drive sales through the retail channel
  • You are able to travel regularly to effect your national territory growth plan
