This is more than just a compliance role and while compliance is definitely in the mix, there are very real and solid opportunities to do the advisory work for a very wide range of client base, including a fair number with company turnovers of $5M ranging up to turnover $60M. Therefore there are also sometimes opportunities to be seconded out to client companies as Financial Controller type of roles at times. The role is approximately 60% advisory (including management accounts, reporting to boards, forecasting, funding proposals, governance meetings, meetings on strategy, valuations, acquisitions, DD) and the remaining 40% is compliance.
You will be able to make a difference with your clients and this firm is big enough to have the big, exciting work, yet is not so big that you would be pigeon holed for a number of years. You will definitely have the opportunity to take ownership of your clients.
Salary depends on experience and level $80K to $100K.
You will need to have a minimum of 3 years BAS experience in a reputable NZ CA firm, preferably a medium sized firm or larger. Please do not apply unless you have this.
