Mercury is currently seeking a HR Administration superstar to join our highly productive and supportive HR Services team. The role is a 12 month parental leave cover based in Newmarket, Auckland.

This is an important support function within our HR team - you will be the go to person for all HR admin and queries, and support to both internal and external stakeholders. You will need energy, be switched on, be well organised and be ready to hit the ground running.

With an opportunity to get exposure across a broad range of HR Functions the key responsibilities include:

  • Providing all HR Administration services for the business, including answering all HR queries, paperwork for new hires and internal changes, monthly reporting, and changes to policies and processes.
  • Providing Payroll support with entering new employees, updating or amending employee data. You will also be the Payroll backup for our Payroll Coordinator.
  • Providing general HR advice and reporting to Managers and our wider HR team.
  • Assisting with the Company's end of year performance and remuneration review, including the distribution and collection of Performance and remuneration data and providing reporting for the business.

To be successful you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous HR Administration experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with payroll and preferably PayGlobal
  • Proven customer services experience and well demonstrated organisational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • A genuine interest in working in HR, Recruitment and payroll

You will be proactive, take a hands-on approach to any task, can work under pressure and deliver results in an operational environment.
