About the role
As a Integration Software Engineer working within the Digital Application Services Team, you’ll be building scalable and high-performing integration platforms using latest architectural patterns and software. You will use latest development tools, techniques and paradigms in order to build phenomenal integration solutions that are at the core of our business.
Foodies (Foodstuffs North Island) supports a network of almost 350 independently owned and operated stores, operates one of the largest property portfolios in the country and is rolling out a significant portfolio of transformative IT initiatives and our key objective is to ensure we’re providing platforms and solutions to deliver market leading customer digital experiences.
About you
With extensive experience in Java, you will be a highly collaborative professional, who designs and implements solutions in a time critical manner. Your ability to understand the business needs and collaborate with the wider IT teams will ensure your success.
Always striving towards best practice, key to your success will also include experience in;
· A Bachelor’s degree in a Technology related subject
· SOA, Microservices and implementing integration patterns including messaging, routing and transformation
· RESTful APIs – JSON and XML
· Automation testing - unit, component, integration, e2e
· AWS exposure particularly in the areas of S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Cloudfront, IAM
· BDD / TDD / DDD
· Continuous Integration, Continuous Development / Continuous Delivery
· Java 8 (5 years+)
o Hibernate
o Spring Boot / Spring
o Junit / TestNG
o Maven
o Git (and Bitbucket/GitHub)
o Docker
o Kubernetes
o Groovy
· HTML/CSS, Typescript, Angular
· Database Systems - SQL (Postgres, Oracle, MySQL) and No SQL (MongoDB) exposure
· Log Management/Monitoring tools Splunk, Kibana, Sumo Logic
· Agile experience, SCRUM in particular
