What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll work in a collaborative Agile environment backed and supported by strong technical individuals at the top of their game. You'll be relied on for your ability to create innovative, robust solutions to meet our customers' emerging business requirements and as a result, you will be able to admire your creation at the end.
Main activities
- Understanding requirements from Business Analysts and Test Analysts
- Developing enhancements using Unit, Integration and Automation testing best practices
- Offering improvements to current processes leveraging your knowledge and experience
- Ongoing maintenance of the Sonata code base to ensure continuous improvement
Skills & experience
You're a natural problem solver with the ability to advance coding capabilities whilst maintaining quality. You're keen to learn and get involved in Sonata, Bravura Solutions' next generation platform. Your other skills include:
- Experience with Java (JDK 1.7, 1.8) Software Development including Java Enterprise (EJB, JTA, JAAS, Seam) and Application servers (JBoss/WildFly/Oracle)
- In-depth full stack knowledge with strengths in developing from the back-end
- Relational Database experience
- Web services and web development experience
- An understanding of project economics and how to estimate project time
- Ability to suggest changes with confidence, succinctly articulating the rationale
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Previous experience supporting and training junior Developers
- Must have legal rights to work in New Zealand upon application
