We are recruiting for a Tester/Documenter & Application IT Support to undertake testing our Infinity Law software , a leading practice management software for law firms, as well as documentation and Application IT support for our development team. The role is for a six-month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide input for the planning, integration, casing, scripting, and execution of all testing required of a single software change or project.
  • Provide the complete Test planning document for assigned project.
  • Review and design specifications for low to moderately complex changes/systems for completeness and testability.
  • Develop, write and maintain the test plans,
  • Develop test scripts documentation for future automation.
  • Conduct testing using company-specific, manual, programmatic processes.
  • Execute test scripts/cases and communicates the results of testing.
  • Test modules of larger software products or smaller stand-alone software products to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities for documentation.
  • Create and maintain the information architecture.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.

Background and experience required

  • Software testing skills with good domain knowledge
  • Good expertise in Windows/Browser software development environment
  • Sound capability in the user of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Accountancy and/or Law Firm software packages is preferred
  • Proven ability to learn new software products with ease
  • Ability to test software logically and able to report accurately on any problem found
