What will you do?

As a technology BA, you will develop business domain understanding to enable definition and documentation of business problems or opportunities.  You will develop relevant analysis models which reflect the business objectives.  Within this role you will display a solid understanding of users, the market place, the competition and future trends, and will prioritise accordingly.

A day in the life:

• Working with stakeholders, end users and customers to understand needs and goals, and to answer questions
• Building effective relationships with various business user and management communities to gain an understanding of business strategies, policies and functions
• Helping the Product Owner refine the Product Vision, Product Roadmap, Release Plans, and the Product Backlog
• Understanding the product increments to enable the definition of the analysis scope and activities
• Leading the product analysis activities for a given product increment providing the analysis direction in collaboration with the Product Owner and business stakeholders, ensuring the most appropriate approach is taken
• Developing business domain understanding to enable definition and documentation of business problems and opportunities
• Performing current and future state analysis, including documentation of the "As Is" and "To Be" business system processes
• Eliciting business objectives for the problem or opportunity using one or more proven elicitation methods
• Gathering and documenting non-functional requirements

Your background, skills and experience:

• At least 4-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
• Involvement in complex IT projects within an Agile environment
• Exposure to complex technical environments
• Experience with various methods of requirements elicitation and experience producing Requirements Specifications
• Experience creating "User Stories"
• Exposure to logistics or freight industry desirable
• Strong knowledge of analysis/modelling techniques or methods
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Experience with JIRA, MS Visio
