Service Foods is a New Zealand wide company specialising in Food service. We supply to Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors and exporters nationwide with a broad selection of imported and locally manufactured food products. Our core product areas are across fresh produce, dry, frozen and chilled departments.

Service Foods is a high growth company, and has great plans for the New Zealand food service market. We have 9 branches nation-wide and are working towards expanding our national footprint even further. About the role:

We are looking for Customer Service Representatives to join our amazing team based at our Wellington - Grenada North Branch. This is a full-time permanent position; days/hours of work are Monday - Saturday from 4.30 am to 1 pm (approx.).

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving orders via Phone, fax, email, and website and entering into the ERP system.
  • Discussing product options with customers.
  • Up-selling product lines.
  • Key customer support services.
  • Preparation of quotations. 
  • Assisting with administrative duties.

About you:

You are a focused, thorough and self-motivated individual who loves working with customers. You are someone who strives to exceed set quality standards throughout the customer service process.

You possess:

  • Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Confident and friendly phone manner.
  • Excellent computer skills - proficiency in all Microsoft basic applications.
  • Current full NZ driver’s license.
  • Basic Time management skills are necessary.
  • Attention to detail.

Prior NZ experience in this field beneficial. Knowledge of basic food ingredients is essential. Applicants for this position must have NZ citizenship or residency.
