We are looking for an Automation Tester to support our ongoing Dynamics 365 projects.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan, prepare and execute test plans and scripts in order to veryify all pre-defined acceptance criteria is met (business & technical requirements). 
• Review User Stories and contribute to Estimations
• Sign-off User Stories and Acceptance Crieria from a testing perspective (contribute to definition of done) before the Sprint.
• Assist teams in creating acceptance tests written in Specification by Example format.
• Perform Proof of Concepts to help the business recognise the feasibility of an automated solution
• Identifying and communicating the technical implementation requirements
• Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout
• Have knowledge of ongoing technologies and where applicable advise the company to take advantage of it
• Ensure all test data is prepared and satisfies business & technical requirements.
• Undertake data preparation and operations when required (eg. data cleansing, ETL, etc).

Test Planning ​

• Contribute to, review and update Acceptance Criteria
• Write test plan and test scripts for stories during the sprint cycles
• Automating test cases for the stories during the sprint cycles

Test Execution​

• Create Test User Stories with Acceptance Criteria and review with Product Owner
• Perform root cause analysis in defect resolution and while debugging​
• Plan/execute targeted testing as needed, e.g. system, integration, user interface, performance.
• Raise defects and refer rejected stories back to Developer for rectification
• Trouble-shoot and resolve defects
• Re-run individual test cases in order close out Defect Reports when fixes are deployed by the application developers.

Test Outcomes ​

• Participation in squads and Agile rituals
• User story acceptance criteria and definition of done
• Defects raised and addressed with Test Lead and Developers
• Compliance with Test standards, automation and reporting requirements  

Skills and experience

• Work with customers on automation opportunities to consult, design, develop, and/or support solutions using Robotic Automation framework and potentially other technologies
• Hands on experience in RPA(Robotics Process Automation) framework's tool like UI path/Blue prism etc
• Should be able to develop the demos and quick perform Proof of Concepts to help the business recognise the feasibility of an automated solution

• API automation testing experience/expertise
• 2 years + software application testing experience, including the hands on delivery of test automation for digital products or services
• Performance testing experience/expertise
• Solid foundation in Agile Software development practice - including working collaboratively with developers and the Product Owner to agree and write acceptance criteria for features 
• Strong research, root cause analysis and defect reporting skills
• Significant & relevant experience working in the New Zealand market - any experience working in Fleet Management Software and SAP will be desired
• Good command in Java to create automation test scripts and troubleshooting issues
• Comfortable and good understanding with our technical stack:
