At Paymark we make it easy for New Zealanders to get on and do what’s important, every day. Today our payments network is so enshrined in the kiwi way of life that whether you’re buying an ice-cream at the beach or making a major purchase, chances are you’re using a payments card and Paymark is behind the scenes processing your transaction. Paymark EFTPOS is so deeply embedded in NZ that to date we have put through over 16 billion transactions, worth an estimated $700B, and worked with over 120,000 businesses, covering more than 75% of the NZ market.

As the Agile Practice Lead, you’ll play a key role within the Technology Delivery Team and wider organisation. In this role you’ll act as a Scrum master for multiple squads, including facilitating practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and backlog grooming. You’ll guide the development squad and product teams on how to use and apply agile/scrum development practices and values and will coach and mentor to assist with this.

Here’s what we need you to be good at:

  • Solid understanding and at least 5+ years of experience with agile software development process and practices, specifically the Scrum framework, including setting up an agile practice.
  • Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Strong team, inter-personal and communication skills. Desire to work closely with a variety of players who have differing viewpoints, priorities and technical understanding.

What’s it like to work here?!

Well we don’t take ourselves too seriously here, we dress casual, we look after our people with fresh fruit daily, flu jabs, birthday leave, yoga, meditation and massage (I know right!).  We even give our people money to go towards something that enriches their life, from gym memberships, to PlayStation’s, to golf clubs or dancing lessons (whatever tickles your fancy)! We’ve got exceptional people working here and you’ll be joining a really credible and talented team, who are united by keeping the customer at the heart of everything they do.
