About the role:
The Digital & Technology leadership team is charged with redefining New Zealand Post Limited as a relevant, agile and customer led business, using technologies and innovation to deliver services that go beyond incremental improvement.
The role of the Release Manager is to manage the release pipeline across Auckland agile and project teams, providing release guidance and deployment support to each team in their delivery of software releases and infrastructure changes into production. The role will also contribute to the on-going improvement of release & deployment practices as we mature and align with Agile & DevOps practices.
A bit about you:
To be successful in this role you will have proven leadership experience in a technical environment, preferably in a large organisation leading the Release & Deployment activities across Agile/Project teams.
We're looking for someone who is an organised self-starter, who can monitor teams, drive and deliver in a fast-paced environment. You'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to interact well with others and provide support to ensure the smooth running of your business function. A desire and willingness to learn new technology and excellent people leadership skills will be highly valued in this role.
Experience with using Jira and Confluence would be an advantage.

Our core business hours are Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is required recognising the 24/7 nature of our organisation. There will be the need to work outside business hours and weekends on a regular basis to deploy releases, and on odd occasions to be on-call to facilitate an emergency release.
