About the role:
We're currently on a journey of change designed to support our transformation strategy to deliver customer driven technology solutions, with greater speed to market and keeping pace with emerging technology. Part of this transformation involved a need to be more responsive and agile to future-proof our technology investment.
The role of the Environments Manager is to manage the non-production environments for NZ Post to support agile delivery teams working software for customers. You will be engaging with our vendors, internal operations teams, systems owners and technical teams and Digital & Technology leadership.
You will have a good understanding of the costs, value and investment requirements of the organisations current and planned ICT systems and applications.
A bit about you:
Key to your success in this role will be your previous experience as an IT professional with familiarity at a technical level with both traditional IaaS and private cloud options as well as public cloud e.g. Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
We're looking for someone who is an organised self-starter, who can monitor, drive and deliver processes and map trends. You'll be a custodian of Environment strategy, including guidance for where to host a specific application or service and the appropriate staging environments necessary to support it.
A proactive ‘can-do' attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with others will be highly valued from someone in this role. Ideally, you would have previously developed infrastructure as Code solutions and have experience in developing Continues Integration/Continuous Deliver tool chains in an agile environment.
