Our client in East Auckland is currently experiencing growth in their organisation and as a result are looking for several technology enthusiasts who are highly capable, smart and passionate about software technology.  As an Intermediate or Senior Java Developer, you’ll be joining a successful software development company whose expertise in their specialist field of technology is second to none and who is extremely well regarded both locally and internationally.  Reporting to the Development Team Leader, you’ll be joining a supportive, down to earth team of Java Developers and will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining complex and innovative software products.  You’ll be working in an Agile environment and will participate in requirements analysis, peer reviews and sharing information.

The skills, experience and attributes we’d be keen to see, would include the following: 

• Tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 5 years web development experience is essential
• At least 5 years recent Java experience is essential (certifications would be valuable)
• Sound experience ideally with some of the following:  HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL would be required
• Experience with React.js would be desirable
• Solid understanding and experience with object-oriented principles and design skills
• Experience and a background in Agile environments will be advantageous
• Extensive unit testing experience required
• Experience with distributed or service-oriented architectures
• Team players with exceptional communication skills
• Ability to go the extra mile and produce quality work whilst meeting deadlines
