The role

Housing New Zealand's vision is 'building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help achieve this, we require an experienced Business Intelligence Developer at either an intermediate or senior level who will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate technical business intelligence (data warehouse) solutions. You will be responsible for data analytics with a focus on generating insightful data on our business processes as well as being able to define requirements and create meaningful reporting.

It will be important that you have the ability to contribute to and influence service improvement projects and also that you are confident training business users on available tools, sharing information with them in a meaningful way. To be successful in this role you will need to bring experience of developing and enhancing planning models to meet business needs whilst also having an eye on the quality of the data and outputs.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Broad demonstrable experience in business intelligence and data warehouse development through all phases of the project
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business, and the data representing the business transactions
  • Experience interacting professionally with Executives, Managers and subject matter experts
  • Expertise with business intelligence tools/languages especially Oracle databases, ODI, OBIEE, Hyperion, R and Python
