We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join this fast paced team of professionals, to go on an exciting journey with this global company while it goes though some big changes.

What wil you be doing?
  • Creation of databases and execution of DDL to create database objects like tables, indexes, stored procedures, views, user defined functions in DB2 environment
  • Must have work experience on AS400 environment
  • Perform database monitoring, problem determination, problem resolution
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining backups and recovery procedures and processes
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and testing Disaster Recovery procedures (HADR) and processes
  • Participate as a team member in projects that require outages, upgrades and patches to databases
  • Develop DB2 scripts, stored procedures and functions to replicate data to the backup databases, purge old data from log tables
  • Minimum (5) years of work experience in any combination of the following:
Systems Administration, Relational Database Administration, Software Development, and/or Software Quality Assurance Testing

What we require from you?
  • Minimum (3) years of experience in the administration of DB2 Databases
  • Minimum (2) years of SQL Server 2008 or higher
  • Extensive experience in data modelling and been involved in logical and physical design of relational databases with later implementation of that design in production Mainframe DB2 environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices for performance tuning/troubleshooting. Work with application development teams to design well performing SQL queries/processes.
  • Produce documentation and procedures regarding the proper use and operation of the DBMS
  • Ensure compliance with naming standards
