The Data Analytics & AI team is rapidly growing and as a result we are looking for talented and experienced individuals to join the team.
One of these opportunities is a Data Scientist. In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of customer and digital analytics catering to the information needs of multiple business divisions across IAG NZ. You provide analytical models and insights on business & customer metrics and trends, supporting decision-making and customer experience initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Analysis & Modelling - develop & provide ad-hoc analytic insights & information assets, liaise across business units & stakeholder groups to understand key business requirements, use exploratory analytics and data visualisation to present information and elevate insights, develop new approaches for data preparation, analysis, modelling and visualisation, build repeatable and sustainable analytical assets and data products
- Insights & Projects - identify, understand & analyse data, communicate & share insights, be the go to person representing Analytics SME, contribute and part of IAG wide strategic projects through analysis & presentation of data
- Risk management - develop & monitor key controls, identify data issues
- Culture - share knowledge, collaborate, contribute to Data Guild, professional learning & development, mentor others
What you'll bring to the role:
- 3 years plus relevant experience in a significant information enabled organisation
- Comprehensive experience in customer & digital analytics and statistical modelling, with an understanding of data engineering
- Powerful communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to present information concepts in simple and easily understood business language
- Strong experience working with Data Science tools
- Advanced SQL, Power BI and Tableau experience is advantageous
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Project management and agile working experience is desired
