As a relatively small core team, we expect our staff to be versatile and able to pick up additional tasks and new skills as the need arises.
You will be primarily a front-end developer but also be comfortable developing custom functionality and problem solving for our clients, as well as working with external contractors from time to time. Your role will be a mix of designing/developing brand new projects, plus as improving/troubleshooting existing sites. If you have any additional skills including graphic design, SEO, project management and PPC management that might be helpful in a busy agency environment, please highlight in your application.
What we are after
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as you'll be communicating directly with external clients and the team on a daily basis. Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
- Some agency experience, or at least experience in creating websites for a number of different clients and working to deadlines
- Experience in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
- Confidence using workflow processes such as Git and Bitbucket
- Proficiency with responsive and mobile-first development
- Confidence to take the lead on individual projects, including handling client training and support calls when needed
- An understanding of web, search, social media and all things digital.
