We are looking for an awesome Lead Software Developer to head up one of our software engineering teams. You'll spend your time writing code, helping your team to be the best that they can be, and working with business owners to understand what we should do. We will work with you to lead development across Kordia's wider team, and help you to grow your technical and leadership skills to build a great career.

How would you fit this role?

• You have led software teams before, or have thought a lot about how to lead teams and know that now is the right time to step into that role. You have an aptitude for communication, prioritisation, and leadership.
• You are technical, probably a senior developer, and you understand that the biggest part of being senior is how you interact with the business, how you smooth the path from problem to solution.
• You recognise that great leaders are often hands-on, and you are keen to keep your edge.
• Your experience includes a fair range of technologies, probably including Javascript, Python and Django, but you're not afraid to work with new (and old) technologies, frameworks, and platforms like Ember, Remedy, Haskell, Dell Boomi, and Service Now.
• You like to understand the bigger picture. You have worked out how you and your team fit into that, and how your solutions and software can support it. You are eager to work with business people to help them, and our business, succeed.
• You know how to spend your time to bring the best value to the team: sometimes it's coding, and sometimes it's not.
• Sharing is caring, and this is you. You build a better team by encouraging growth and collaboration. You have things that you can teach us, and you're keen to do that.
• You like face-to-face communication, and you can bring that same vibe to Slack and email.
• You've ideally worked in agile teams before, and understand how to make that work in a customer focussed environment.
• You'd like to be more involved with architecture, strategy and building a technical roadmap.
