We are on the search for a Senior Information Security Advisor to play a key role in assisting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in providing expertise in the development and implementation of security initiatives and promoting a culture of security awareness through training and development programmes delivered across the region. 
 
Reporting to the CISO, the Senior Information Security Advisor function will  interface with stakeholders within healthAlliance and the District Health Boards to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and co-operation; development, dissemination and implementation of security policy.
 
To be successful in this role, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:

• Qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
• Broad knowledge of IT information gained through a minimum of 10 years IT experience, including at least 5 – 8 years working with cyber security principles and systems
• Knowledge of international and NZ IS security standards, such as ISO/IEC 2700x, HISO, NZISM,  NZ PSR and NIST 800, SANS
• Experience in designing and delivering employee security awareness training
• Experience in security programme and project management
• Experience in enterprise security document creation and maintenance
• Experience in enterprise change management processes in the security domain
• Strong relationship building capabilities across and within organisations
• Advanced globally recognized information security certification, or willingness to obtain one, such as CISSP, CISM, CASP etc.
