Battlefront Miniatures is looking for a 3D Sculptor to work in the design and creation of historical miniatures for our range of Flames of War, Team Yankee, and future ranges.
Battlefront Miniatures is a tabletop miniature gaming and board gaming company. As such, we are looking for someone with a true passion for gaming (preferably miniature or board gaming), and who is enthusiastic and excited about 20th Century history, is focused, detail orientated, and has the motivation to take on any tasks required to join the Miniatures Design team.
This role is about creating historical miniatures that fit the style of our existing ranges and follows design documentation to the letter. You’ll be working alongside other 3D sculptors, designers, and miniature-game enthusiasts, so the ability to work well as part of an international team is required.
Primary Responsibilities:

Creating new and / or improving existing models using 3D modelling software - ideally, Z-Brush or a compatible software (we must be able to open other software’s build files in Z-Brush and have the ability to access separeted subtools)

Producing finished models to design specifications

Understanding and previous experience in 3D printing technologies

Understanding precision mould casting processes, and tooling of plastics / metals

Understanding project timelines and being proactive regarding task completion

Adhering to and assisting in developing common processes and best practices

Assisting studio personnel in developing solutions to design problems

Maintaining knowledge of current trends in design, technology, production methods and materials

Ability to work well in a team of veteran and experience miniature designers and enthusiasts

Proactive attitude with an ability to work well independently since the Miniatures Design team is spread across the globe and NZ
