The Office of Academic Assurance provides support to ensure and maintain excellence in academic governance at Massey University. Reporting directly to the University Council, the Academic Board is the peak academic body in the University and has a key role in the governance framework of the University.
A recent review of the Office of Academic Assurance (OAA) has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced secretary to suuport the smooth operation of both the Academic Board and the Academic Committee.
In this role you will be required to:
- povide secretarial and financial support
- povide support and administration to the CUAP process
- esure the smooth operation of both the Academic Board and the Academic Committee
- povide administrative support to the Academic Board and the Academic Committee
- povide assistance/support/advice to Academic Board and Academic Committee members and the Academic Board and Academic Committee Chairs.
To be successful in appointment you will have
- strong experience of Board and/or senior Committee secretary duties
- ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and be mindful of the sensitivity of person - specific subject matter
- high level of understanding and experience working with and advising others on University governance procedures, processes and expectations
- demonstrated excellence in coordinating meetings, planning meeting agendas, attending to practical support for the Committee/Board chairs and accurately recording minutes.
Those with demonstrated experience working with the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) in terms of current legislative expectations and implementation will be held in high regard.
