File Management Support Officer

The File Management Group have a position available to fill the role of File Management Support Officer (FMCSO) based at Waikato DHQ (Hamilton Central Police Station). This is fixed term employment for 6 months.
The role of FMSO provides administrative support to Police across the whole District. This includes data entry, typing, transcription, process and movement of files, preparation of prosecution files and fielding general computer related queries from clients.
The role requires the use of various Police and standard computer programs.
The role is a team based one, in an open plan office, involving a 7 day shift work on a roster that consists of 3 early shifts, 3 late shifts, 3 rostered days-off. This involves regular weekend work.
Training will be provided to the successful applicant by the supportive team around you.
Skills:
- Prioritise workflows
- Manage competing demands and expectations of a range of people
- Provide typing/Dictaphone/word processing support
Experience:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and application of computer based record, file management and Microsoft Office Systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in data entry, typing and transcription
- Demonstrate customer service skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Special Requirements:
- Applicants must be a Permanent New Zealand Resident or a New Zealand Citizen
- As part of the selection process, applicants will be required to type to a speed of 50 words per minute
