We are currently partnering with a dynamic family owned and operated business based in Blenheim, to recruit a fantastic Customer Service Coordinator to join their small, friendly team. The business specialises in providing high quality signage to the gas, electricity and infrastructure industries. 

 

The company

With 20 years' experience in the industry, our client provides a product that helps save lives and assist people navigating workplaces safely. They take great pride in the superior quality of their products; signs that don't fade, are impervious to graffiti and corrosion, and can be used in demanding and life-critical industries including; electricity generation and transmission, water and gas, marine, rail, mining, and infrastructure. 

Their mission is to become the market leader in safety signage, branding, and wayfinding for the world. To do this, they need great people committed to driving their vision. They have an impressive back catalogue of work having produced and distributed 15,000 signs for a single client, to establishing a total asset identification system to manage an organization's 100,000-plus assets labelling programme.

They are a small team of 4 currently, looking to add a skilled Customer Service Coordinator to their high performing team. They operate from a modern, open plan office in Blenheim where a great team culture is a key priority.

 

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is competent with computers and Microsoft applications, who can pick new systems and technology up quickly. You will enjoy supporting customers and clients with their orders and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to manage 3rd party logistics providers.

Day to day, you will coordinate all work required to fulfil a customer's order within an agreed timeframe, liaising with the internal team, the client, and primarily, the contractors who will be carrying out the production of the signage work. Most of the work is outsourced to contractors so this is a key aspect of the role; ensuring the contractors understand the requirement and are meeting the deadlines for delivery.

Key to this role will be ensuring that production work is tracking and progressing to the customers required timeframes and ensuring dispatch to client site. The coordination of the work will primarily be done via email so strong typing skills are essential, as is the ability to write emails to a professional standard.  

This role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Processing of orders
  • Following up with suppliers
  • Dispatch coordination
  • 3PL follow up/logistics management
  • Updating clients with order status
  • Stocktake and stock level management 
  • Manage artwork proofs to Clients
  • Researching freight and currier options
  • Tracking international shipments and updating clients/team with any delays

 

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, someone who thrives on providing customers with a first-rate experience
  • Strong typing skills, and the ability to write professional emails
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite computer skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to handle conflicting priorities and remain calm and composed
