Precision Farming provides farmers across NZ with a sophisticated live, automatic, accurate farm management and decision support software system to optimise farm performance. Precision Farming's sister company, Precision Tracking, processes farmers' orders created within the Precision Farming system and sends those orders in real time to fertiliser and spray contractors for completion, returning proof of application records back to the farmer.
We are looking for a person who is very comfortable working with computers, ideally has experience in office-based customer sales & support, has an excellent telephone manner, and most importantly, enjoys sorting out customer requests for help and advice on getting best value from using technology.
Capability in basic electronics such as being able to do elementary servicing of our GPS hardware devices, installing SIM cards, replacing parts, making up cables, etc, would be a significant advantage.
Bringing those skills to Precision Farming will enable the successful candidate to be part of a committed team of office and field based staff, to contribute valuable help to farmers and contractors, as well as to colleagues, in this long-established and fast-growing business.
Full training will be given on our technology - all you need to come with is sound experience working with computing, electronics and technology, coupled with an outgoing personality, confident manner and high standards of customer service.
This permanent role is full time, but we may also consider candidates looking for flexible hours to allow for example for after-school child care.
