The Road Policing Support Prevention team is made up made up of three component parts, Research and Evaluation, Performance and a Strategic Advisor - Māori. The team provides data analysis and research expertise to support the executive and Districts' deployment to risk. They also contribute to enabling higher levels of performance and public trust and confidence in New Zealand police though the receipt, compilation and release of official information and correspondence.

The Information Officer will contribute to improving trust and confidence by providing specialist support to the Prevention team. This will include the management of all requests for information, including Official Information Act requests and parliamentary queries; accurate, uniform and consistent road safety messaging on all official correspondence and; the timely release of that information.

We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic and focussed, who have an eye for detail and can build and maintain key relationships.

 Skills required:

•             Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.

•             Demonstrates attention to detail with good time management skills, including meeting individual and team deadlines.

•             Demonstrates an understanding of the OIA and the potential links to Trust and Confidence
