As the Finance Manager of the Business Partners you will manage and lead a high performing team of Senior Finance Business Partners undertaking strategic financial management advice and consultation with Portfolio owners and staff.
You will be responsible for setting the direction of the Business Partner team, coordinating workflow and resource availability, training, coaching and mentoring staff to ensure a high-quality service. This is a key senior role providing trusted, insightful and comprehensive financial advice to the organisation and its Leaders.
Key Knowledge and skills include:
- High level of stakeholder relationship and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to suit experts and non-financial audiences
- Strong Leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and persuade others outside of formal reporting lines
- Strong business & commercial acumen and a good understanding of modern business management and financial analysis techniques
- Proven ability to pitch information at the appropriate level to facilitate efficient decision making
- High level of intellectual and analytical ability
- Highly developed and in-depth knowledge of financial management in a complex Public Sector corporate environment
- Experience in applying analytical methods to complex issues
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of management accounting and financial management principles and practices.
To enable the organisation to deliver an optimised service the Finance Manager Business partners participates in the strategic planning, formulation and direction of the organisation’s Finance providing strategic financial advice and expertise to assist them in achieving their strategic objectives.
This position works closely with other Finance Managers to ensure the integrity of actuals, budgets and forecast information as well as supporting cross finance processes to ensure a high standard of timely, accurate and integrated financial information and advice is provided.
