The Organisation
Wellington Museums Trust Incorporated, trading as Experience Wellington, brings arts, culture, science and creative experiences to audiences directly contributing to Wellington’s liveability and prosperity.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role will develop and implement a fundraising strategy and plan to accompany the Experience Wellington 2017-23 Strategic Plan.
The role combines strategic leadership, project management and hands-on fundraising activity and will require extensive liaison with the Trustees, the Executive Teams and employees of City Gallery, Museums Wellington and Capital E.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder and relationship management
- Development and implementation of fundraising strategies
- Mentoring and training of museum, gallery and visitor experience staff
- Fundraising programmes: mid/major gifts, bequests, DM, e-DM, sponsorship, database management and grants
Person Specification
This is a new and exciting, capacity building role for an experienced and confident senior fundraiser with high EQ. You will need a commitment to fundraising best practice and excellent written and oral communication skills. We are looking for a candidate with proven ability to work across a complex organisation, gaining the confidence of employees and stakeholders with a proven commitment to work collaboratively.
You will need a relevant degree and a demonstrated interest in the work of Experience Wellington.
This role is a full time with some flexibility, based in Central Wellington, with a salary range of circa $110k
