About the business and the role
Access Community Health is one of New Zealand's leading healthcare organisations working with the Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and ACC among others to provide support to over 20,000 people in their own homes around the country.
The Referral Coordinator provides the customer interface between Access and our funders; DHB, MOH, ACC, and our clients. You will receive, prioritise, allocate and collate all referrals to ensure the best service response based on client requirements, delivery capability and contract specifications.
We are looking for people who share our dedication to work in support of the elderly, people with disability and people recuperating from injury and illness.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Requirements are;
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong computer literacy, with particular familiarity with the Microsoft package and reporting functions.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong decision maker with the ability to problem solve creatively and strategically
- Excellent planning and prioritising skills when under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Embraces change and supports new initiatives
- Understands clinical environments and functions and is able to work effectively and efficiently in this environment.
- Is sensitive to issues relating to equality; people with disability, cultural & social needs.
