About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and engaging professional to join the team at the Cancer Society of NZ Gisborne East Coast Centre as our Supportive Care Co-ordinator .
The Cancer Society of New Zealand strives to minimise the impact and incidence of cancer in our community.
The primary focus will be to:
. Provide support and information to cancer patients and their whanau.
. Increase awareness and use of the Cancer Society support services in the community.
Skills and experience
The Person we are looking for will have the following skills and experience:
.Relevant experience in the Social Service space
. Minimum requirement Diploma or above qualification in social work or health sciences
. Effective interpersonal skills, including assessment and facilitation with the ability to develop networks
. Strong written and oral communication skills
. Effective time management and organisational skills
. Proficient in Microsoft Office and data bases
. Current drivers licence
