The Role

• Teaching English and providing academic support to students in Seafield programmes
• Successful collaboration with colleagues and the Director of Studies, as well as personal self-assessment, evaluation and review to provide students with an innovative, motivational, supportive and high quality learning experience
• Participation in the development, review and moderation of course materials, and curriculum and assessment design to enable graduate outcomes to be met and evidenced
• Key administrative tasks include the timely and accurate maintenance of student records and performance including attendance records, assessment results, course outlines, moderation plans, referrals, and records
• Participation in marketing, career and promotional activities will be required, as agreed

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Certificate or diploma in English Language teaching, CELTA or DELTA or equivalent preferred
• Bachelor Degree
• Computer-literate
• Experience teaching NZCEL3 and 4, IELTS, TOEIC and/or TOEFL
• Ability and flexibility to change methodology for needs of students and the course
• Flexible and proactive attitude
• Available to work Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm or 4pm to 9pm

Preferred:

• Experience or training in teaching EAP (English for Academic Purposes)
• Experience and knowledge of the New Zealand tertiary education sector
