Research Development Office
Wellington, New Zealand
The Research Office has an exciting opportunity for you to join a friendly, high-performing, well-respected team as a Research Development Advisor (RDA).
RDAs work closely with academics to win funding from external contestable sources, including the Royal Society of New Zealand; the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment; the Health Research Council and more. The ability to develop high trust relationships with a wide variety of academics, funders, and stakeholders is key to achieving success in this role.
RDAs coordinate all aspects of the funding application process, including identifying opportunities; conducting seminars and workshops; reviewing proposals; preparing budgets; and managing the submission process. Funder deadlines can be closely spaced and that combined with the volume of applications we submit means time management and the ability to prioritise work is essential.
We are looking for someone with strong relationship building and communication skills, who can work co-operatively and maintain calm under pressure. Specialist knowledge in one or more research disciplines and a proven record of securing research revenue in the New Zealand environment may be an advantage, but we are open to applicants from a diverse range of professional backgrounds. The work is diverse and interesting and the Research Office provides and encourages support for individuals' professional development.
The role is 40 hours per week.
Salary between $79,560 to $107,640 per annum.
