We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, innovative and committed educator with the leadership skills, experience and creativity to assist the HOD in further enhancing a progressive department. The capacity to develop and create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students is essential. We believe in the concept of ako and that we are all learners. Collaborative practice is fundamental to our curriculum. The ability to teach senior statistics and/or calculus is a prerequisite. Start term 1, 2019. 

The college is an innovative and forward-thinking, decile 8 coeducational Y7–13 school located in Leeston, approximately 30 minutes south of Christchurch. Over the coming years there is expected significant roll growth, and with the possibility of a complete school rebuild in the near future, this is an exciting time to join a progressive school and be a part of leading and designing change in New Zealand education. 

We are a PB4L school and are starting a journey around the implementation of restorative practices. We believe strongly in building and enhancing positive professional relationships with young people. Teachers are expected to be involved in our whānau system and will be supported to awhi and care for their whānau students.
